Jay Teich

CEO, Seahorse Bioscience

Mr. Teich incorporated the company in 2000, completed the technology licensing and initial funding in 2001 and in 2004 completed the acquisition of Innovative Microplate which became Seahorse Labware.

Prior to forming Seahorse Bioscience, over a seven year period, Mr. Teich led the growth, management buyout, and sale of Inframetrics Inc., the world¹s leading manufacturer of thermal imaging systems for industrial and law enforcement applications. In 1999, he negotiated the merger of Inframetrics with FLIR Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:FLIR) to form the world¹s largest supplier of commercial thermal imaging systems.

During a twenty-five year career, Mr. Teich has led engineering and marketing teams in the development and commercialization of a diverse range of electro-optical, ultrasound, and biochemical instruments for Honeywell, Damon Corporation and Ciba Corning Diagnostics Inc.

Earl Lewis

CEO, FLIR Systems

Earl Lewis is President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of FLIR Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of thermal imaging and broadcast camera systems for a wide variety of applications in the commercial and government markets. Prior to joining FLIR in 2000, Mr. Lewis was President and Chief Executive Officer of Thermo Instruments Systems, Inc. He served in various capacities with Thermo Instrument Systems, since 1986. Thermo Instrument Systems develops, manufactures and markets analytical instruments used to identify complex compounds as well as instruments used to image, inspect and measure various industrial processes and life sciences phenomena. Mr. Lewis is a member of the Board of Directors of SpectRx, Inc., IGI Inc. and Harvard Bioscience Inc.

Dr. Joseph D. Keegan

President and CEO, ForteBio, Inc.

Dr. Keegan has more than 25 years of experience managing life science tools businesses. During his 9-year tenure at MDC, Dr. Keegan grew the company’s revenues from $30 million to $190 million through internal growth and acquisitions. In early 2007, he oversaw its acquisition by MDS for $615 million. Dr. Keegan joined MDC from Becton Dickinson and Company where he served as president of Worldwide Tissue Culture and vice president, general manager of Worldwide Flow Cytometry. Prior to Becton Dickinson, Dr. Keegan was vice president of the Microscopy and Scientific Instruments Division of Leica, Inc. He currently serves on the board of directors of Alpha Innotech Corporation, BioImagene, Inc. and ForteBio. Dr. Keegan holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Stanford University.

Jeffrey M. Hurst

General Partner, Co-founder Commonwealth Capital

Jeff Hurst has 17 years of venture capital and private equity experience. He has experience in the communications, software, and e-commerce industries. Jeff is currently or has been director of American Internet Corp., MacGregor Group, NewMediary, Crossbeam Systems, Inc. and Polar Beverages.

Before co-founding Commonwealth Capital, Jeff was a senior vice president with GE Capital’s Corporate Finance Group, where he led over $500 million in financings. Jeff previously served as a managing partner of Cox Partners, a private equity firm, after starting his career with Bankers Trust Company. Jeff earned an MBA from Tulane University and a BA in History and Economics from Duke University.

David Stone

Managing Director, Liberty Tree Advisors, LLC

David Stone is the Founder and Managing Director of Liberty Tree Advisors, LLC, a consulting firm that helps emerging life sciences companies grow. He is also a Venture Advisor to Flagship Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on creating, financing, and building innovative companies in the Life Science and Technology sectors. In addition, he is an independent director and Chairman of Oscient Pharmaceuticals, a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company.

A veteran of Wall Street, David followed the Biotechnology sector for nearly ten years at Cowen & Company, where he built a highly regarded research and investment banking practice. David began his career in biotechnology in 1983 as a Project Manager and later Communications Director at Genetics Institute (now part of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals). He earned a B.S. in Microbiology from Colorado State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Clyde Keaton

President and CEO, ArgoTurbo Serve

Mr. Keaton created a high growth, innovative company that provides world-class, customized supply chain management services focused on the unique complexities of aftermarket spare parts - ArgoTurboServe. Prior to Argo Mr. Keaton was CEO of Argo International the parent company. Mr Keaton was also CEO of a CleanHarbors and formerly a Vice President of General Electric Corporation.

Jason Heinrichs

Partner, Rock Maple Ventures

Prior to joining Rock Maple Ventures, Jason served as the Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Genomics, a venture-backed developer of DNA sequencing technologies. He also co-founded ctr!Ventures, a conception stage venture capital firm, with 3 other proven entrepreneurs. Previously, Jason was a strategy consultant at Monitor Company, where he focused on corporate strategy and mergers & acquisitions in a variety of industries. Before Monitor, he participated in the redesign of Deluxe Corporations' core manufacturing process as a project engineer. Jason studied at the United States Military Academy at West Point and graduated from Harvard University in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Sciences.
